About Me:

My name is Kayla Ayala and my love for architecture and design began when I was younger and would take trips to NY every weekend, admiring the buildings and spaces created throughout the city. I've always loved exploring the world so if I'm not out submerged in nature, I'm roaming around the city streets looking for new places. Some of my hobbies include hiking, crocheting, painting, and traveling with a passion for gaining new experiences and knowledge. Every experience is a form of exploration whether it is of knowledge, the world, or your own intellect.

I graduated from West Caldwell Vocational Technical School in 2016 and studied culinary arts throughout that time. After that I began my journey at Kean University's Michael Graves College School of Public Architecture. I graduated in 2020 with a bachelors in Architectural Studies and am currently looking for an internship/position within the field. Throughout the four years of college I wanted to gain experiences in other areas to see how I can apply those skills to my career in the future or use them to better myself. I've worked in distinctive catering, the food industry, customer service, the medical field, and would now like to take a year to gain experience in the architecture field before continuing my studies.

I will be a great addition to any team if given the chance. Some of my best qualities include being well organized, reliable, efficient, honest, ambitious, passionate and able to adapt to whatever environment I am put into. Although my experience in the architectural field is limited, my determination and willingness to gain knowledge and succeed will guarantee that I will thrive and be beneficial to whatever company I work for.
